Sanctuary care
Three dogs live with us permanently because their past injuries require lifelong stability, medical follow-up, and gentle routines.
Safe haven. Patient care. Second chances.
We rescue abandoned and abused dogs, provide veterinary care and rehabilitation, and work toward adoption into permanent homes—while offering lifelong sanctuary when a dog needs more time to heal.

Rehabilitation
Every dog deserves calm, consistency, and compassion.
We keep numbers small on purpose so each dog gets the attention their story requires.

Our purpose
As stated in our corporate bylaws (Article I), Danny's Dog Haven Corporation is organized exclusively for charitable purposes consistent with IRC Section 501(c)(3), with federal tax-exempt recognition pending IRS determination. Details are on our governance page.
Purpose: To rescue, provide veterinary care and rehabilitation for abandoned and abused dogs, and facilitate their adoption into permanent homes. No part of the net earnings inures to the benefit of any private individual.
What we do
We are not a high-volume intake facility. We are a haven—for dogs who need a softer landing and humans who want to help responsibly.
Partner rescue care
We usually host three to five dogs placed with us by established rescues, providing structure and socialization while those organizations handle adoption.
Community giving
Donations fund veterinary care, food, training, supplies, and transportation—partner rescues are often an hour away, and we make long-distance rescue runs when a dog needs a ride into care. Give online or contact us today to help.
Help us keep the haven running
Secure online donations are available on our donate page. You can also contact us to give or to volunteer your time and skills near Venice, Florida.
